This year, the Felt Felbermayr team is not only active in cycling races in Europe, but also on other continents. The team is currently taking part in the four-day Tour of Mauritius 2024 (UCI 2.2), which is part of the UCI Africa Tour. And right from the start, the team from the trade fair city presented itself in top form. In the prologue over 4.1 kilometers in La Nicoliere, Felt Felbermayr professional cyclist Pjotr Brozyna secured 3rd place with a time of 6:56.07 minutes, just 1.56 seconds behind winner Marc Olivier Pritzen from South Africa. Teammate Jakob Purtscheller took 5th place with a strong performance and a time of 7:10.45 minutes, thus slipping into the jersey of the best U23 rider in the tour. In general, the Wels team performed strongly today, with Patryk Stosz in 7th place, Felix Ritzinger in 10th place and Julian Pöchacker in 12th place, all Wels cyclists finished in the top 12. This means that the team is also leading in the team rankings. "That was a perfect start, and we can continue like this," emphasises Paul Renger, who is looking after the team in Mauritius.
