Tom Wirtgen improves to 9th place overall at the Fleche du Sud 2024

The Felt Felbermayr Wels team is currently in action at the 73rd Fleche du Sud (UCI 2.2) in Luxembourg. Today the individual time trial over 18.6 kilometers was on the program in Sanem. With a committed performance and 18th place, Tom Wirtgen made it into the top 10 of the overall ranking in his home country. He is now in 9th place overall, 1:57 minutes behind overall leader Pim Ronhaar from the Netherlands (Team Baloise – Trek Lions). The fastest Welser today on the time trial machine was Michael Kukrle, who completed the distance in 23:52 minutes and with an average speed of 46.8 km/h, thus taking 9th place on the stage. “Today we made up ground in the fight against the clock and showed a strong performance,” emphasizes racing director Rupert Hödlmoser.

Patryk Stosz in third place in the overall points ranking

Teammate Patryk Stosz remains third in the overall points ranking due to his top performances on the 1st and 2nd stages: The Felt Felbermayr professional cyclist made a great impression with second place on the 1st stage and took 5th place on the 2nd stage.

Daniel Federspiel scores important UCI points in a top-class race in Belgium

On Thursday, five Felt Felbermayr professional cyclists were in action at the top-class Circuit de Wallonie (UCI 1.1). As the best Wels rider, Daniel Federspiel took 22nd place and three other important UCI points for the Wels team, leaving several top professional cyclists behind him.
